CUTLINE INFORMATION: The 1,800 square foot expansion of the McCaig-Wellborn Research Library at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum (IMHOF) is complete and ready for visitors. The library houses some 14,000 books and periodicals and more than 10,000 photos for race fans to view when they attend the Oct. 3-5 AMP Energy 500 weekend.
“The McCaig-Wellborn Research Library is a tremendous asset for the Hall of Fame and the racing community,” said Talladega Superspeedway President and IMHOF Executive Director Rick Humphrey. “Race fans and historians alike could spend hours browsing through our collection enjoying old photos and programs from races past. This expansion ensures our ability to strengthen and grow our collection for everyone to enjoy.”
The added space also allows the library to be used for group rentals, with the ability to host up to 100 people. For more information on hosting an event at the IMHOF, please call 256-315-4566.
