The International Motorsports Hall of Fame is thrilled to soon be launching NFTs, also known as non-fungible tokens, on CurrencyWorks’ Motoclub.io platform!
CurrencyWorks,Inc is a financial technology blockchain pioneer, NFT, and digital currency payment provider that will build, develop and promote NFTs for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame (IMHOF) on the motoclub.io platform.
This is very exciting news for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and we can’t wait to let racing fans across the world join in on the venture!
What are NFTs and How Will They Work with Motorsports Memorabilia?
If you’re not familiar with NFTs, you’re not the only one, as they just recently exploded in popularity.
According to Investopedia, “NFTs are unique cryptographic tokens that exist on a blockchain and cannot be replicated. They can be used to represent real-world items like artwork and real-estate. ‘Tokenizing’ these real-world tangible assets allows them to be bought, sold, and traded more efficiently while reducing the probability of fraud.”
Since 1983, the International Motorsports Hall of Fame has continued to showcase some of the most historical artifacts in motorsports at its home in Talladega, Alabama. CurrencyWorks will create NFTs for this motorsport memorabilia, that on the motoclub.io platform, will allow for the minting, selling, and trading of NFTs.
“To be able to extend the history of motorsports to fans through the creation of NFTs is a natural progression for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame,” says Cameron Chell, CurrencyWorks Executive Chairman. “The trust that the board of IMHOF has put in our team to continue their legacy through a digital platform is a great honor.”
Are you ready to own a piece of motorsports history?
The IMHOF is super excited to be working with CurrencyWorks and provide race fans this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
“Immortalizing this history through the creation of NFTs aligns directly with our mission, which is the enshrinement of the greats of motorsports,” said Senator Gerald Dial, Chairman, International Motorsports Hall of Fame. We are very excited to work with the team at CurrencyWorks, who are leaders in this space.”
This is an amazing achievement on both sides and will change the industry.
