
GENERAL INFORMATION
The
International Motorsports Hall of Fame & Museum is located just north of Talladega,
Alabama on Speedway Boulevard, next to the Talladega Superspeedway. Speedway Blvd.
parallels I-20 between Exits 168 (from Birmingham) and 173 (from Atlanta), and is
accessible from either exit. The Hall of Fame is only 50 miles from Birmingham and
95 miles from Atlanta.
There are a variety of
lodging and dining options available nearby at I-20 Exit 168 (Lincoln), Exit 158 (Pell
City) and Exits 185 and 188 (Oxford/Anniston), as well as in Talladega, 8 miles south on
Highway 77.

The Hall of Fame has extended hours during race weeks at Talladega
Superspeedway. The Motorsports Hall of Fame operates on Central
Daylight Savings Time. These hours begin April 4 and run through the end of Summer.

There is a
$1.00 discount to senior citizens (age 55 and over), AAA, AARP, and Military, Policemen
and Firemen with ID, on individual museum tickets only (does not apply to van tour or
supersaver tickets)
| Hall of Fame Tour Information |
The museum tour is a walking,
self-guided tour that takes approximately an hour to complete. In addition to the
three exhibit halls and pavilion area, the Motorsports Hall of Fame also includes the Hall
of Fame Gift Shop as well as the McCaig-Wellborn
Motorsports Research Library, a 3,000 square foot space with over 14,000 volumes of
books, magazines and other research materials (open weekdays only). It may be the
most comprehensive collection of motorsports information on Earth.
The average Hall of Fame
& Museum tour can take between 1 and 3 hours depending on the amount of time you wish
to spend with each attraction.
Group Tours
of 25 or more may be scheduled by calling 256-362-5002. It is also possible to
schedule a step-on guide for your own bus.
TALLADEGA
SUPERSPEEDWAY TOUR
The Speedway
runs an 18-seat, handicap-accessible van tour every hour on days they are not closed for
racing or testing activities. These tours begin at 9:00 am and run every hour on the
hour until 4:00 pm. The tour lasts approximately 20 minutes and is narrated by the
van driver.
